AEDM day 11: Two new paintings

A while ago I bought a group of four 45x45cm canvases, intending to make them into a series of Munich scenes. The first two are almost done (here's the first one and the second one); today I started on the last two canvases by sketching out the basics of the scenes:



I had originally picked out a different view for the last painting, but today I made a last-minute decision to go with this instead:



I'm excited to see where I can take these.

Saw your entry at AEDM - What do you use on your canvases - they look like they are glowing in the dark.
Like the city scenes.

Nothing special - just acrylic paints of various qualities and consistencies. I start by painting the whole canvas black (I used to have black gesso I used for this, but I can't find any of that here), and I use the paints pretty undiluted.

Maybe it's just the sheen of light hitting the canvas - I'm not particularly good at photographing them.
